Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight

At the heart of this year’s Vache Baroque Summer Festival are water, magic, and transformation. Inspired by Shakespeare’s swansong The Tempest, music, theatre, and immersive performance will come together to explore humanity’s relationship with nature, illusion, and change. Across opera, concerts, and family events, Baroque sound worlds will meet contemporary storytelling, inviting audiences into a richly atmospheric, elemental landscape. For 2026, the festival unfolds in an especially evocative setting. Our big top tent will sit beside the lake at The Vache, with the water and surrounding woodland forming a living backdrop to the performances. As daylight fades and the elements shift, the environment itself becomes part of the storytelling.
