Messiah was premiered just after Easter in 1742. This performance on the first Saturday after Easter was conducted by English Chamber Choir’s highly-acclaimed Artistic Director, Rufus Frowde, and accompanied by the Vache Baroque Band (d. Jonathan Darbourne). They were joined by exceptional soloists – world-class, leading musicians of their generation, including Rowan Pierce (Acis & Galatea, 2021).
